Rue Montgallet

Rue Montgallet

About

Rue Montgallet was created in 1672 and got its current name in 1775. A peaceful street of Paris, in the 1970s there was a farm courtyard. In the 1980s, this street is built with modest buildings and hardly any shops. In the 1990s, there were only two computer shops on Montgallet Street. The big change happened in 1995, when a famous computer brand opened a shop nearby, on Avenue Daumesnil. Since then, all shops have become computer shops, except two (very good) restaurants; they have even spread to Charenton Street, just around the corner. Nowadays, this street is a reference: people come from all over France to buy their computer in spare parts for a very good price.
