Sakura-Ya

Centro Comercial, L'Illa Diagonal Cuisines: Asian, Japanese

About

This serene, yet busy little joint is a combination of a Japanese restaurant, bar, souvenir shop and food store. Once inside, Japanophiles have plenty to keep them happily occupied for a few hours. A hearty meal of Yaki-soba—sautéed noodles, meat and veggies on an egg base, or Hihayako—tuna besides tofu, will tempt you to further your gastronomic adventure towards the sushis, sashimis and makis. A few sake truffles will take care of both drink and dessert—give them a shot. Plenty of rice and pasta is available for traditionalists. After the feast, patrons normally stroll over to the store, from where a purchase of souvenirs and snacks is imminent.
