The South African Police Service Memorial is dedicated to the country's policemen and women who died in the line of duty. The black granite monument is a fine tribute, containing the names of more than half a million police officers. Unveiled in 1998, the memorial is situated at the bottom of the Union Buildings Garden and enjoys a splendid view of the city.
