Saudi Arabia Travel Guide

Saudi Arabia officially known as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)is a Middle Eastern country that occupies most of the Arabian peninsula and has coastlines on the Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf and Red Sea.

The mountains, valleys and Red Sea beaches with turquoise water are known for some of the world's finest diving and attract some, but comparatively few, tourists. Some other spots are hard to reach, such as the Nabatean ruins, a four-hour drive from Medina, the nearest city with an airport for visitors to fly into.

Tourism in Saudi Arabia is largely based around religious pilgrimage, it contains the holy Muslim cities of Makkah and Madinah, to which all physically and financially able Muslims are required to make a pilgrimage at least once if possible.
