Tuesday nights. One of Belfast's most popular student nights. Throughout Shag's long history, it has played the best of crowd-pleasing indie hits, old skool alternative classics, and big beat dance winners. DJ is Phil Kieren who, in his guise of up-and-coming techno wonder-boy, Ultraman, was a Hot Press nominee, but with Shag specializes instead in giving the crowd what they want - i.e. a loose soundtrack to aid and abet their amorous exploits. Relaxed, unpretentious and very popular amongst the undergrad fraternity, but unless you have student ID don't bother trying to get in. No dress code.
