Set in the old Sherwood family homestead, Wood is well-named: The expansive log-cabin environs set the stage for a dining experience that's at once rustic and urbane, with vaulted log ceilings, log walls, and sleek black leather seating throughout. This is a steakhouse, pure and simple, with simple preparations of grilled AAA Alberta beef being the dominant feature of the menu. But there are plenty of non-beef options as well, such as pork chops with charred jalapeno relish and a seared ahi tuna with a crust of three peppers and acacia honey.
