This park is a number one place for the word "romantic" in Kharkov. Its always crowded with people. You can easily find Shevchenko Park: get to the Freedom square (m. Universitet or Derzhprom) and turn right in front of Lenin statue. Another way to get to the park is to turn left in front of Opera and Ballet theater from the side of Sumskaya str.. There is a cozy children cafe in the heart of the park - "Kristal". Of course, at night you will see there mostly dating couples rather than kids. This cafe has been here since Soviet times and their ice-cream is still the best in the city. Make sure to go to the 'Kaskad' which is in the very end of the park. "Kaskad" is stone stairs with falling water. Most romantic spot of the park :) There is also dolphinarium "Nemo" right next to "Kaskad". In winter you can rent here sledges and have a wonderful experience of hitting the snowdrifts with your partner (sledges are just soo difficult to control :D)
