Sholayar dam is the deepest dam in second of Asia. It is a Beautiful tourist area and includes around the forest places. It is situated in 20 Kms  from Valparai,and its all the hill station on the Anamalai Range in Coimbatore district.
It is part of the Hydroelectric Project of Tamil Nadu.
