This museum is dedicated to a great figure of Modern Siamese art. Born in 1892 in Italy, professor Silpa Phirasri first followed lessons at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts. Then, the Royal Thai government requested that he become a sculptor. He then opened the Fine Arts school in 1933 and his university in 1943. This exhibition space pays tribute to his dedication and contribution to Thai art. In the past, this place was the studio of  Professor Silpa Bhirasri , Italain sculptor, who was honored as "Father of Thai modern art and contemporary art". Silpa Bhirasri Memorial National Museum  was founded from Silpa Bhirasri Memorial Museum project, cooperation between students and closed friends of Professor Silpa Bhirasri, to be a memoir of him as the father of modern art and contemporary art in Thailand and the founder of Silpakorn University.
