Siora Rosa

Piazza Hortis, 3 Cuisines: Seafood, Italian, European

About

This restaurant is a reference point in the traditional local catering industry. Although all that is left of Rosa, the old owner, is a portrait hanging on the wall, she is still the most famous siora (which means signora or lady in the local dialect) in the city. The restaurant is located in Piazza Hortis, near the seashore (practically in the city center), right in front of the civic library and the Italo Svevo museum. The cuisine is typical of this area and includes boiled goods, excellent hams, sausages, and sauerkraut, as well as meat pies, cuttlefish, cod, gnocchi, and roast meats - in short, a bit of everything. Tradition is what counts here. Do not come by car as it is impossible to park nearby.
