432, Santa Teresa Cuisines: Seafood

About

If the swing doors – fashioned to resemble the sides of the famous Santa Teresa bonde (tram)– don't draw your attention to this restaurant, then the life-size statue of a seafood-brandishing Bahian woman certainly will. Excelllent seafood is served inside, in attractive surrounds that combine modern exposed brick walls with rustic black and white tiled floors, while local artworks and images of Yemanja, the Brazilian goddess of the sea, add splashes of colour. There are regular live music performances here, warmly recommended, although be aware that a 'entertainment cover charge' will apply.
