About

From Sorrento to Sorrento Ristorante!! When Nino Cioffi finally decided to make Toronto his new home in October of 2008, he brought back a piece of Sorrento with him. The concept behind opening Sorrento Ristorante was to give Torontonians a 360° experience of the authentic Neapolitan cuisine, atmosphere and the warmth so characteristic of his native Sorrento. As you enter the doors to the restaurant you are transported to the Italian way of eating and "doing things". Every day, our chef prepares over 10 different daily specials and homemade desserts. Nino every morning goes out to buy fresh vegetables, fruits, meats and fish -just as he did in Italy because fresh ingredients are the bases to a delicious meal. Here you will not find caesar salad, penne vodka or the spicy sauce for the calamari (in Italy fried calamari is served only with fresh lemon and salt), nothing wrong, but these dishes are not authentic Italian cuisine. Visit us and let yourself be transported to Sorrento.
