This impressive stone building known as the Craft Granary has established Cahir in County Tipperary as the crafts capital of the South East. It runs a number of workshops programmes, including basket making, pottery, creative embroidery/stitching, and candle making.The gallery has a variety of beautiful works from various crafts people. The Craft Granary shop is in beautiful surroundings, spaciously designed with all products individuals displayed.The Granary promotes the excellence of modern Irish craftsmanship through exhibitions of contemporary jewellery, ceramics, glass, applied art, textiles and limited edition prints, paintings sculpture and contemporary fashion.The first floor is home to an intimate 60sqm gallery overlooking the river Suir. Various groups and solo artists have exhibited in the gallery since the building was restored.
