About

The fourteen hectare South Pacific Heathland Reserve is located in Dowling Street (1.3 kilometres south along the Princes Highway from the Ulladulla Tourist Information Centre). The primary purpose of the reserve is the protection and preservation of rare native flora and fauna. It is administered by a voluntary group of citizens acting as trustees for the Department of Lands. The main feature is the Chris Humphries Nature Walk - an easy two kilometre walk on a gently undulating track. There are over 100 species of trees and plants identified within the five Heathland communities. Its main inhabitants are birds (over 90 species have been observed), skinks, mountain dragons and the occasional snake.
