Steve Smyers' dramatic hillside layout features huge, fast, undulating greens and expansive fairways flanked by more than 180 bunkers of every size and shape. Rising and falling over 100 feet, the dunes are planted in scrub, grasses and ornamentals. Rated among Golfweek's "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" since 1977. Founded in 1993, the layout is truly unique and definitely worth the 20-minute drive from the south side of Orlando. Southern Dunes is consistantly rated in the "Top 50" you can play, and is a treat you will remember for a long time.
