About

Founded in 1707 in the heart of Dublin City, St Ann's has a spectacular neo-Romanesque façade that was added in 1868. Isaac Wills designed the Georgian interior, which includes stained glass windows dating from the mid-19th century and memorials to both World Wars. Since 1723, the church has also kept a bread shelf, a tradition that exists to provide Dublin’s poor with food. Over the years, many famous people have been associated with St Ann’s, including Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker and Theobald Wolfe Tone.
