The Star of Siam was founded in Adelaide in 1987 by two sisters Somchit and Valeerat and Valeerat's husband Kak. From a very young age both girls had a passion for food, fresh ingredients and Thai cooking. Arriving from Thailand to study, Somchit dreamt of opening a restaurant. This dream became reality when her younger sister Valeerat and her husband immigrated to Australia and they found a new home for their family in Adelaide.
At that time, fresh Asian ingredients were becoming more abundant in Australia and cooking authentic Asian dishes was finally possible. Just as well, as the sisters had been missing their favourite flavours.
Dinner Timings: Mon to Sat 17.30pm to 22.00pm.
