Lying 31km (19 miles) east of Växjö, along Route 25, is this domain of three master blowers: Håkan Gunnarsson, Leif Persson, and Mikael Axenbrandt. The trio started this studio in 1987 determined to experiment to the utmost limit. Staying true to that ambition, the three glass blowers let loose their creativity in front of the furnace, creating dishes, vases, and decorative pieces with an utterly free approach to the glowing melt. Colors are brilliant and freely combined. Look for Anna Örnberg's work, which has a youthful audacity and a warm sense of humor; her vases and small bowls seem to burst with joy. For example, Anna puts pouting lips on fruit-colored fish vases that balance on their tail fins. The best days to visit are Monday and Wednesday, when you can see more artisans at work. It's open weekdays 9am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm, and Sunday noon to 4pm.
