Its a famous place reminding us about history time year 1709, when Russia won Northen War. Main battle happened here, not far away from place called Jakovtsi (suburb of Poltava). Many soldiers from both countries (Sweden and Russia) left their lives here and still rest in earth...... I hope it will be interesting for everyone to visit that place and to look at the history from the side, from the 300 years time. People who live in Poltava joke: If Swedish had won this battle, then we are living in Sweden now. But, we are in Ukraine, which is at least 70 years away from Sweden according to economical, social and so on development.
