Come face to face with Tasmanian devils and other Tasmanian native creatures at Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park. Catch the fascinating Tasmanian devil presentations every hour or so and learn about the park’s vital contribution to the Tasman Isolation Project to save the only isolated, natural, healthy population of endangered Tasmanian devils. Hand feed friendly forester kangaroos and laugh at cheeky little parrots in Tasmanian’s only bird show.Meet endemic quolls and pademelons and walk among wild honeyeaters and wallabies on the park’s bushland trails. Birds of prey include eagles and hawks.Established in 1978, Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park is committed to the conservation of the Tasmanian devil, which is threatened by a fatal contagious cancer. Visitor entrance fees assist wild devil monitoring and a longstanding breeding program to produce a healthy population of Tasmanian devils. The park is open daily (except 25 December) at Taranna, about an hour 88 kilometres / 55 miles) southeast of Hobart on the way to Port Arthur on Tasman Peninsula.
