Where can you launch a rocket, fire a giant pop gun, and study a colony of ants...all in one day Techniquest, the hands-on science centre in Cardiff Bay.
There are more than 130 interactive exhibits at this waterfront centre... from hot air balloon, and hydrogen rocket, down to chunky puzzles. There is quite literally something for everyone, from tots to grandparents.
Techniquest's Planetarium has a new projector allowing visitors to see the night sky as never before. There's also a Science Theatre which stages curriculum-linked shows for schools during term time...and shows for all the family at other times.
With a café and shop on site, there's no need to leave the building if it's cold or wet. But if it's fine all the sights of Cardiff Bay are on the doorstep.
