Recently opened Telegraph Wine Bar is located right on Logan Square, stomping ground for Chicago's hipster population. This vibe carries over into the small wood-furnished bar (furniture custom-made in Mexico). The friendly plaid-clothed servers have a vast knowledge of sommelier Jeremy Quinn's streamlined and frequently updated "new Old World" wine list, which focuses on small, sustainable European vineyards. The offerings cover an enormous range not only in variety and taste but also in prices. If you're really hungry, Telegraph's small portions may not be quite right for dinner, but try the vermillion rockfish with mascarpone, pomegranate, brussel sprouts, and black garlic if you're hankering to split a first course.
