About

Terry comes from a background of working in the famous Hicks Cabinet Makers where he learned his trade and became their top carver. He now produces a range of boards and bowls in the shape of leaves from fallen trees from the nearby woods – hence the range is known as “Falling Leaves from Fallen Trees”. You can see Terry making his product from the raw tree to the finished article here in his workshop. Terry takes great pride in his work and all pieces are finished to the highest standards. All boards and bowls are sourced from Irish native woods including beech, oak and ash. They are then hand carved and finished with an oil which makes them heat resistant and water proof, suitable for use in the kitchen. They are both functional and decorative and every piece is individually unique. Custom pieces can also be commissioned. There is parking for ten cars in front of workshop, public toilet also beside workshop and Terry has a showroom in the workshop with a display of his current range of boards, bowls, etc. There are spectacular views of the river Boyne from the workshop and the famous Co. Louth Golf Club in Baltray is only 1kilometre away. Also in Baltray are to be found “Standing Stones” from the same era as the world famous Bru na Boinne, Newgrange site which is also only 10 kilometres away. Beautiful beaches at Baltray, Termonfeckin, Clogherhead are also nearby. The historic medieval town of Drogheda is 5 kilometres from the workshop with a great selection of restaurants, hotels and shopping to cater for all needs.
