Barbara Kelly has been making baskets for some fifteen years. She learned her trade form her sister Irene who trained with the famous family of traditional basketmakers, the Shanaghans of Carrig on Suir.Presently attending art college Barbara produces both traditional and contemporary work, mostly in willow but including other natural or found materials. Most of her work is custom made but there is usually a limited supply of items for sale in her workshop.
