This delightful New Orleans-style eatery might not be the best choice for those who take themselves very seriously, but if you're looking for a good time along with excellent food, the Bayou is a solid choice. Located in a historic building in downtown Glenwood Springs, the decor is fun and funky, with harlequin masks on the walls. Come for Cajun cuisine -- such as seafood gumbo, chicken étouffée, or swamp and moo (redfish and rib-eye) -- and stay for the staff-provided entertainment, including "dumb server tricks" and the Frog Leg Revue. The Bayou has the largest selection of hot sauces in the valley, from "spicy" to "hurt me." There are also a few vegetarian dishes.
