The Old Fort Restaurant is located in Shannonbridge, which is near Athlone in County Roscommon. It is located in the newly restored main building of the Shannonbridge fortifications. This wonderful building was constructed in about 1810 as a bridgehead defence against Napoleon and over the years has had many other uses, including being a family home. Today, the restaurant offers a wide range of tempting dishes for visitors to savour. Menu options include a value menu and Sunday lunch. The Old Fort can also cater for special occasions, small weddings and conferences.
