Situated mid-way between Dublin and Belfast, and in easy reach of Newry and Dundalk, Carlingford is capital of the Cooley Peninsula which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, boasting spectacular coastal and mountain scenery. There are opportunities for excellent golf, horse riding, sailing and hill walking locally.
