Science City, located at Matigara, 5 km north of Siliguri city alongside National Highway 31, is a highly accomplished institution. The Science City, also known as North Bengal Science Centre, exhibits many scientific equipment and experiments. The complex also encloses a planetarium which plays interesting astronomical shows and a Nature Interpretation Centre. Visitors to the centre can also know about the customs, traditions, dialect and culture of the people living in North Bengal. It is a common place for educational tours. People of all ages come, enjoy and study science in a simple way at the centre.Science centre is a must see place not only for those who are interested in science but also for the tourists and especially, children. The centre is open from 10.30 in the morning to 6:00 in the evening. The transport modes to reach there are road and rail.
