Trattoria Novacentro

Antonio Borrero 8-44 and Sucre Cuisines: Italian

About

Occupying the sunken central courtyard area of the classy Hotel Santa Lucía , this place serves the best Italian fare in the city and holds its own as a chic and refined choice any night of the week. Service is formal and attentive. White linens cover the tables, and the seating is in uniquely designed steel chairs with plush white cushions. The high atrium courtyard is beautiful by day, but is particularly romantic, with its dim lighting, at night. There's a wide range of classic Italian antipasti and pasta dishes. For a main course, I like the perfectly grilled steak and arugula. You can also get fresh-grilled fish expertly prepared, or spicy shrimp fra diavolo. The wine list is extensive and fairly priced. For dessert, order a piping-hot shot of espresso and classic tiramisu.
