About
Tvrdos is a 15th-century Serb Orthodox monastery near the city of Trebinje in south-east Republic of Srpska. The 4th-century foundations of the first Roman church on the site are still visible today. Cathedral constructed about 1508 was painted with murals by Vicko Lavrov from Dubrovnik in 1517. Today well known for it's wine production. Most visitors come from Dubrovnik, Kotor and Herceg Novi.
