Like any other museum, Vorarlberg Museum was built for the purpose of combining and expanding Vorarlberg's collections of archaeological, historical, and folkloric works of art. Besides its well-displayed Prehistory and Roman areas, guests are sure to come across traditional costumes and brilliant Gothic and Romanesque religious masterpieces from the province's wealthiest churches. For an utter art experience, do watch out for the various portraits done by the local artist, Angelika Kauffman.
