The New School’s famous Intensive Lessons for individuals and small groups offer a unique Irish experience. Absolute beginners can learn the bodhrán (pronounced bough-rawn), a wood and goatskin drum beaten with a wooden stick, or tin whistle. Intermediate or advanced students can take lessons in almost any Irish traditional instrument, learning new tunes or developing their technique. Adults and young people from all over the world have taken our Intensive Lessons, which are conducted in an informal, friendly style.
