Whiddy island is in Bantry bay, it is a small island with only four native families still remaining, it has holiday properties for rent, there is a pub with food, and a post office, it is home to the Gulf oil terminals, the island hosts many walks with exciting views, the island is a farming land with fishing, only access is by boat, the ferry leaves the bantry pier regularly. well worth a day out, recommend you bring sandwiches and water,
