It takes 27 layers of margarine rolled into dough before the famous Danish pastry is ready for the oven and Wienerbageriet has been a specializt in this technique since 1888. Founder Albæk was a supplier to the Royal Danish Court and started baking wienerbrød as early as the 1840s. Nowadays their specialty is called Sarah Bernhard. There is also a large selection of bread to choose from.
