Yotvata in Town

About

The kind of restaurant Israelis loved best 30 years ago was a little place turning out simple, freshly made salads and good-quality dairy dishes. Popular Yotvata has carried this concept into the 21st century and turned it into a bustling, high-powered, multistory emporium on the beachfront. Everything is made from the best-quality produce bought directly from kibbutzim and from the famous dairy kibbutz at Yotvata. For around NIS 50 ($13/£6.25) there are salads, cheese platters served with fresh herbs and vegetables, blintzes, pancakes, vegetable pies, pastas, and pizzas. At the upper end of the price range, the menu has expanded to include a selection of fish, chicken, pasta, and hamburgers, as well as bagels and lox. The mixtures of natural fruit juices are famous, as are Yotvata's many ice-cream parlor desserts.
