About

Heraldry is the theme at Zlatna Guska (Golden Goose) restaurant in what once was the Inquisition Room on the lower level of a Zagorje palace. The stone walls and ceilings are covered with coats of arms belonging to the region's prominent families; dishes are named after them, too. Try the pork medallions St. Hebert, or the Bukan Buccaneers filet (a chicken breast stuffed with shrimp and covered with dill sauce). Service is accommodating. The wine list is filled with Croatian standards. Zlatna Guska is a perennial on Croatia's list of the 100 best restaurants in the country.
