Can you believe it Halloween is right around the corner and I’ve got so many events to tell you about around the state. First up, Zoo Miami has four different events planned for the month of October: Dr. Wilde’s Creepy House, Oct. 16-31, noon till 5 p.m. This 7,000 square-foot haunted house is not for scaredy cats, even though it’s open during daylight hours. Come in for spine-tingling chills, if you dare. They say your every fear will come to life…roaches take over the kitchen and what’s that lurking in the freezer You’ll have to see for yourself! Admission is $5 per person. Parental discretion is advised for young children. (I'll wait outside with them!)   The Monster Masquerade, Oct. 2, 2010, 8 p.m. till midnight Dance the night away, in costume, at the wildest nightspot in Miami! Guests 21 and over are invited to enjoy premium cocktails at open bars, savory treats, music, dancing and entry into Dr. Wilde’s Creepy House!  You can also win awesome prizes like weekend getaways, hotel stays and restaurant gift certificates for "Best Costume." Tickets are $50 per person with a limited number sold at the door for $65. Get your tickets now at their website or call 305-255-5551. Spooky Zoo Nights, Oct. 29-30, 7 p.m. till 11 p.m. This is an after-hours family event that includes entry into Dr. Wilde’s Creepy House, spooky tram rides, ghoulish carousel rides and spine-tingling storytelling around a fire pit. They’ll have lots of goodies and live performers along the Zoo’s pathways, too. Ticket are $10.95/person, $9.95 for Zoo members. You can save $2 by purchasing your tickets during the online pre-sale. Zoo Boo! Oct. 30 – 31, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Kids ages 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat in costume around the Zoo, enter costume contests and make Halloween crafts. Even the animals will get special Halloween treats and Radio Disney will be there making sure everyone is having fun. (Zoo Boo is included with your regular Zoo admission.)
