This is one of the many holiday resorts in the South of Innsbruck, in this case, only four kilometers away from the county's capital. Aldrans has about 1700 inhabitants; it is one of the places where you can find quiet accommodation at moderate prices. With the Patscherkofel skiing area close by and the numerous shuttle services taking you to other regions, you can enter the world of winter sports easily and quickly. You can also make a trip to Innsbruck and its many spots of cultural interest, as well as its good nightlife. Aldrans is located on a plateau, at 760 meters above sea level, and there are many hiking paths (including three groomed winter hiking trails) leading into the beautiful landscape around it. Since it is an authentic rural Tyrolean village, there are many farmers offering accommodation. All in all, Aldrans is a good place for a family vacation.
