The Alte Kanzlei offers traditional, hearty German food, and a host of regional specialities. The atmosphere, food and service are moderately upscale, and the pace is relaxed. The restaurant also offers a great view of Stuttgart's old palace. Typical dishes include Carpaccio with beef and red pepper, filet of lamb with provencal vegetables, and a variety of tasty (and cooling) sorbets.
