Your trip to Buenos Aires is incomplete without visiting Café Tortoni. This Porteño
institution is known as the artistic and intellectual hangout of the city since 1858. Tastefully decorated with woods, yellowing marble, stained glass and bronzes, this café is a perfect place to grab a coffee and a small snack after exploring Avenida de Mayo. They organize twice-nightly tango shows in a cramped side gallery. The management of Café Tortoni sometimes limits the right to enter.
