Caffetteria Canova Tadolini

Museum-Atelier Canova-Tadolini Cuisines: Italian, European

About

One of Rome's chicest cafes is part of a museum dedicated to Antonio Canova, the neoclassical sculptor, and his student, Adamo Tadolini. Lying only a few steps from the Piazza del Popolo, the museum cafe seats you beneath statues and plaster fragments. It serves a wide selection of drinks, but also full meals, including succulent pastas. Typical Roman specialties include spaghetti all'amatriciana or alla carbonara (with bacon). Alla pepe is another good selection with lots of creamy cheese and pepper.
