Built in 1995 at a cost of $215 million covered by sponsor Coors Brewing Company and local tax dollars, Denver's baseball-only stadium is a standout. The venue holds 50,000, with a row of purple seats circling the stadium at exactly 5,280 feet above sea level—the Rockies' tribute to Denver's "Mile High City" nickname. Mountain views are plentiful from the first-base side, The Rockpile is a fun time in bleacher seats for only a few dollars, and club-level fans get personalized food-and-beverage service.
