It began as a joint venture between Crawford College of Art and Design and University of Hertfordshire, aiming to introduce opportunities in Ireland to learn about and experience the Art Therapy process. Crawford College of Art and Design has provided education in the arts for over 200 years. The Cork Summer School, staffed by members of the art therapy profession in Ireland and Britain, offers participants an introduction to Art Therapy and the chance to explore the therapeutic potential of art. For others it may be an opportunity to re-engage with their creative identity. Every year it proves to be an invaluable encounter whatever one's motivation for attending.
