West of downtown, in an older residential neighborhood, is this popular night spot, with a specialty of matching cheese and wine -- though this is also an excellent restaurant for French- and Italian-influenced meals. The menu isn't huge -- in fact, the various entries are simply identified as The Pork, The Chicken, The Fish, and so on, with seasonal selections changing from week to week -- but preparations are excellent (think pork loin on a bed of fresh spring-bean cassoulet), so you don't need an extensive menu as long as the chosen dishes are as good as this. And if nothing else pleases, simply make a meal of the abundant cheeses and well-selected wines.
