Doonbeg Holiday Cottages and Bungalows offer detached and semi-detached self-catering accommodation just 4km from local village Doonbeg and 9km from the seaside resort of Kilkee, Co Clare.Surrounded by rolling farmland, the properties range from traditional Irish cottages to modern houses with each sleeping six people. Each is fully furnished. Type A is a traditional Irish cottage with a lounge/dining room/kitchen, open fireplace, solid fuel heating and three bedrooms – two doubles and bunk beds. Type B is a modern house with a comfortable lounge area with solid-fuel burning brick fireplace. It has three bedrooms – one double and two twin rooms. Type C1 is a detached bungalow with three bedrooms – one twin en suite, one double en suite and one standard twin. It also has a spacious comfortable lounge area. Type C2 is a modern bungalow with a lounge/dining room and three bedrooms – one double en suite, two twin rooms and another bathroom.These properties are located on small country roads lead to a safe, sheltered beach. Or guests will enjoy kicking back in their sitting room and watching the golden sunset over the Atlantic and with the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher and Mt Callan in the distance.Nearby Kilkee and Doonbeg village have excellent shopping and restaurant facilities, with entertainment nightly in many of the pubs.These holiday homes make a great base from which to tour the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, West Clare, Kerry and the Connemara coastline. Other attractions and activities include the Aillwee Caves in Ballyvaughan, surfing on the nearby beaches, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and Ballycasey Craft Workshop near Shannon Airport. Sporting enthusiasts will also enjoy the excellent golf courses at Doonbeg, Kilkee, Kilrush or Lahinch.
