Situated in a sheltered cove in the idyllic village of Dunmore East, Dunmore East Adventure Centre provides water and land based outdoor activities to adults, kids and families. The centre is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and has an exciting programme scheduled for the coming months. Summer camps are planned for July and August, with activities including kayaking, rock climbing, windsurfing, archery, pedal boats, stand up paddle boarding, open canoes and orienteering, to name but a few. Camps run every week of July/August from 10am to 3pm and all equipment is supplied. Kids are divided into four main age groups, starfish: five to seven years, sharks: seven to 10 years, trailblazers: 10 to 13 years and adventurers: 13 to 17 years. Certificate courses in sailing, kayaking windsurfing and power boating are already in motion. Stag and hen activities are ever popular, with a good mix of restaurants and lively pubs in the village to make that weekend a memorable one. Team building events are organised for the corporate sector, there is a mix of water and land based tasks to challenge every group. Dunmore East Adventure Centre has three family friendly self-catering luxury thatched holiday cottages available for short-term rent each sleeping six which are located just a three minutes walk from the Adventure Centre.Dunmore East Adventure Centre is a participant in Fáilte Ireland's Family Friendly initiative. The centre is therefore committed to providing a particularly warm welcome and friendly service to families with children, and will bend over backwards to make their time with them a memorable one for years to come.
