El Corsario

About

Although we've reviewed its accommodations above, the dining room here, with its panoramic view, is so romantic it deserves special mention. This 400-year-old flower-draped villa is near the hilltop fortress. Your taxi deposits you about 152m (500 ft.) down the hill in a square fronting an old church, and you must climb the slippery cobblestones to reach the villa. There you'll find a stand-up bar, two pleasant dining rooms with a handful of neatly laid tables, and a view of the harbor. Menu specialties include various pastas, two different preparations of lamb, and especially fresh fish brought up from the harbor. The cookery is home-style and well prepared, especially if you stick to the fish dishes.
