About

Ibiscus is a traditional Haitian restaurant set in a charming area of Old Montreal. The ambiance is intimate and classy, with only a few splashes of tropical colors. The artsy and subdued décor contrasts with the soulfulness of the chef's creations. Haitan cuisine is largely composed of comfort food. At Ibiscus, all classics are perfectly prepared, from the appetizers: kibby (fried stuffed meatballs), accras (malanga fritters), tassot (fried goat) and conch stew, to the main courses like griot (crispy marinated pork) and beef touffe, all served with the traditional Creole sides of fried plantains with rice and beans. Ibiscus distinguishes itself from other Haitian quick restaurants thanks to its upscale venue and expertly cooked dishes. -Claudia Mejia Castillo
