About
The independence Arch which used to be called the black star square is located in the heart of the city of Accra. It is a monument that reminds Ghanaians of their struggle for self rule from the colonial masters the British. Many lives were lost for the struggle for independence in the then Gold Coast. Post independence Ghana now has freedom and hence the presence of this monument to remind us of how much effort was put in by our fore fathers.
