About

The Kaiserstuben is the best known place in Innsbruck to eat late at night. Locals often refer to this as the Kaisermühlen (the emperor's mill) for reasons that are not entirely clear, although it probably has something to do with a popular Austrian TV series about the Viennese district of the same name. The restaurant seems to have embraced its nickname and has dubbed its Wienerschnitzel a "Kaiserschnitzel". The menu item that is the best value for money though, is the divine Schweinsstelze (knuckle of Pork).
